Educational Qualifications

  • Level 1 (Primary Teacher - PRT)
    • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)                    
  • Level 2 (Trained Graduate Teacher - TGT)
    • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or 2-year B.Ed (Special Education).                                            
  • Level 3 (Post Graduate Teacher - PGT)
    • Post-Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Age Limit

There is no specific age limit to apply for HTET, making it accessible to a wide range of candidates.

Exam Pattern

HTET 2024 is conducted in three levels, each designed to assess the competency of candidates for different teaching positions:

Level 1 (PRT)

  • Duration: 150 minutes
  • Total Questions: 150 (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Subjects: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (English), Mathematics, Environmental Studies

Level 2 (TGT)

  • Duration: 150 minutes
  • Total Questions: 150 (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Subjects: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (English), Subject-Specific (Mathematics/Science or Social Studies/Social Science)

Level 3 (PGT)

  • Duration: 150 minutes

  • Subjects: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (English), Subject-Specific (relevant to the candidate’s post-graduation subject)

  • Notification Release: Expected in July 2024
  • Application Start Date: August 2024
  • Last Date to Apply: September 2024
  • Admit Card Release: October 2024
  • Exam Date: November 2024
  • Result Declaration: December 2024
